Description
PARKER DAEDAL / COMPUMOTOR LINEAR STAGE LEVELING ASSEMBLYThe top plate is drilled for the base of a Parker 4" wide linear stage. It could be re-drilled for other stages.
This is built somewhat like a sine plate, if that's familiar to you, with a round bar used as a pivot.
The adjustment screw is 80 TPI and the adjustment range is about 2mm.
This was originally used to adjust a microscope type stage for level so as to maintain focus across the stage's range of travel. It's probably not suitable for a machining application.
The adjustment screw pushes against a hardened insert in the bottom plate.
The Allen head screws on the top and side are loosened to make the adjustment and then tightened to hold it.
Overall dimensions: 12.5" x 5.06" x 1.0" H (about 2.3" H including the adjustment screw set near mid-range).
The tilting plate is 12.5" x 3.03" x 0.5". The dowel pins may be driven out if not needed.
About 6.5 pounds, before packing.
Aluminum, black anodized. Very nicely finished.
There are bosses machined into the bottom ( see photo 8) to reduce the chance of rocking if this adjuster is attached to a less than flat base plate.
The adjustment screw may be removed for shipping. If it is you'll need a 1/2" wrench to reinstall it.
