Vintage George Stone Master-Model Snare Drum – No Reserve
Offered here is a magnificent, George Stone Master-Model Snare Drum.  This 5”x14” staggered three-ply beauty is in the classic Natural Maple finish.
The Master-Model line of snare drums  showcases one of the idiosyncratic ways drum builders were exploring at the dawn of the 20th century to tension drum heads.
But more than that, Master-Model drums are also a final hurrah to an era when drums were hand-crafted individually without the efficiency of mass production.  Take a close look, for instance at the photos of the two tension rod facing plates. You will observe that not only is the “Stone & Son Boston Mass” imprint on each plate hand-stamped, the two plates themselves are slightly different in their shape.  Genuinely hand-crafted drums.

This drum is all original with the exception of the top and bottom heads.
