    Description

Beautiful fabric to this C.1905 child's two piece blue linen outfit.
The sailor style top has a wide collar with white and blue embroidery, white tape edging. The sleeve has a no-seam cuff with inverted pleats, fastening with two shell buttons and thread loops.
There is a "Naval" style blue and white embroidery at one sleeve with an anchor, bird, and two chevron stripes.
With a label from LS Plauf & Co, Newark, NJ the jacket is double breasted, with shell buttons, with a small chest pocket. The bottom is stretchy, the stretch still functioning.
There are also two hidden buttons at the waist to fasten. The jacket measures 18" across at the chest in front, 10" across at the waist.
The jacket has a couple of slight areas of discoloration that do not show up in the photos, around the area of the double row of buttons. There are two small holes also in the same area, these should be visible in the photos. There are a couple of pinholes that show when the jacket is held to the light.
The pants fasten at each side with two shell buttons, and have two on-seam pockets. They are gathered at the bottom with a non-stretchy insert.
The pants measure 12" across at the waist, lying flat, are 21" long at the side, inseam is 12" long.
There is one, thumbprint-sized light smudge at the front, a small hole in front about the size of a grain of rice.
The fabric has a denim look, and is wonderfully aged.
1905, and one of two similar suits I will be listing.
